About Us
Project REACH is a free and voluntary program available in select rural counties to support those who care for young children.
We are a research-based program designed to enhance the quality of early child care and education. Through on-going, on-site visits, we provide training, support, and assistance to those who care for and teach young children.
Our goals are:
- to offer training and technical assistance in planning and implementing a quality program that is rooted in educational theory and developmentally appropriate for young children.
- to work together in building community relationships that blends strengths and resources to improve the quality of care and education.
- to respond to individual roles, settings, and experiences that lead to on-going professional growth.
- to promote children's developing cognitive, language, and social skills for positive outcomes in school and life.
Project REACH is a part of the Center for Family Policy and Research at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
